1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("Ubikona", "we", "us"), [Registered address]. They apply when you submit or publish an ubikon, add products and links to it, or choose a plan. By ticking the box when you send an ubikon, you accept them. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
2. Invitations and accounts
Submitting ubikons is by invitation during the closed period. Invitations are personal; please don't share your invite link. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to submit an ubikon and add affiliate links.
3. Your ubikon
You keep the rights to everything you submit: photos, text, notes and videos. You give Ubikona a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, crop, translate the interface around, and show your ubikon on Ubikona for as long as it is published, and to show it in previews and search results. We share it on our own social accounts only if you tick that option, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Every ubikon follows the same standard, and we review each one before it is published. We may ask you to change something, or decline to publish an ubikon that doesn't meet the standard or these terms.
4. Photos and people
Only submit photos you took or have the right to use. If a person can be recognised in a photo, you must have their permission; the cover shows no faces. Number plates are blurred on upload. Don't include anything that reveals a private home address or a location someone has asked to keep private.
5. Products and affiliate links
Ubikona doesn't provide affiliate links. Getting them, from a brand or an affiliate programme you have joined, is your responsibility, and so is following that programme's rules and the law where you and your visitors are, including disclosing that a link earns you a commission.
Every link must lead to the exact product it is added to. A link that leads somewhere else, to a different product, a general store page or anything unrelated, can't be added as an affiliate link. We reserve the right to remove any such link, at any time and without notice, and to remove links that are broken, misleading or against these terms.
If you were given a product for free or paid to feature it, mark it as gifted or sponsored; it is labelled next to the item.
On the Voyager plan, 20% of affiliate clicks on your products go to Ubikona's own links; the rest go to yours. On Pro, every click goes to your links. Where you have no link for a visitor's country, Ubikona may show its own link for that country, on both plans. Affiliate links are collected now and used once Ubikona opens to the public.
6. Plans and payment
Voyager is free. Pro adds videos, an FAQ and your affiliate links on every click. Pro is billed monthly ($9.99), every six months ($53.94), yearly ($99.90) or every two years ($179.82), in US dollars, with taxes added where they apply.
Nothing is charged when you send an ubikon. If you chose Pro, we email you a payment link once your ubikon is approved; your card details are entered on our payment provider's page, never on Ubikona. Pro starts when the payment is made and renews at the end of each period until you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time, online. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your ubikon stays published on Voyager and the Pro extras are hidden.
Refunds. Every payment, renewals included, comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee: ask within 14 days of the charge and we refund it in full. After 14 days there are no refunds for the time left, because longer periods are already discounted. If we stop offering Pro, or remove your ubikon for a reason that isn't your doing, we refund the unused time. This doesn't limit any right of withdrawal you have under the law where you live.
Reminders. For 6-month, yearly and 2-year plans we email you 30 days before the renewal, with the date, the amount and a link to cancel.
Changing plan. Moving to a longer period takes effect right away: the unused part of your current period is credited against the new one, and the new period starts that day. For example, two months into a 6-month plan ($53.94), four months are unused ($35.96), so a yearly plan costs $63.94 that day and runs for 12 months from then. Moving to a shorter period, or to Voyager, takes effect at the end of the current period.
Ubikonars who joined by invitation get Pro free for life: no charge now or later, for as long as Ubikona offers Pro. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect for a paid plan.
7. Acceptable use
Don't submit anything illegal, misleading, hateful or infringing; don't post someone else's setup as your own; don't use Ubikona for spam, fake reviews or link schemes; and don't try to get around the review, the click count or the security of the site.
8. Removing content and ending
You can ask us to unpublish or delete your ubikon at any time. We may remove content, or suspend access, that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Ubikons are the owners' own setups and opinions. They aren't professional advice: electrical, gas, water and vehicle work carries real risk, so follow the manufacturers' instructions and local rules, and use qualified help where it's needed. Ubikona is provided as it is; to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for products and shops reached through links. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as Ubikona grows. For changes that matter, we'll tell you by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
